How to Reheat Pasta (quick video)

This super quick video from eHow, hosted by Max Tucci, celebrity chef and culinary expert, shows you how to reheat pasta for a quick meal...without using a microwave!

This recipe, taught to him by his mother, uses just a few basic, quality ingredients and a medium sauce pan for a fast, delicious dinner.

Ingredients:

a pat of butter
1 tbsp. olive oil
a pinch of parmesan cheese
a pinch oregano (fresh or dried)
salt
fresh ground black pepper (optional)
cold, cooked pasta

Put the pan on medium heat, add the butter, olive oil, parmesan, oregano and salt (and pepper if using) and allow to heat gently until fragrant. When the herbed oil and butter mixture is nice and hot, add  the cold, cooked pasta right into the pan. It should give a nice sizzle. Stir until just heated through. Garnish with freshly grated parmesan cheese, a spring of fresh herbs and enjoy!

TIP: This method works with any kind of cold pasta...fusilli (shown), penne, shells, spaghetti, angel hair, farfalle, etc.

TIP: You can substitute Pecorino Romano cheese for the Parmesan for a stronger taste.

TIP:  Garlic and herbs such as fresh basil, Italian parsley or sage are excellent as well.
